Check out fixboot command from the RC. (search xp's help) You'll also want to save bootsect.dos. This is the file that xp's install saved your 98 boot sector to. dual boot with win2000 and XP
I needed to remove mandrake from one of my machines. I loaded the XP disk and used the FIXMBR command and upon reboot I received NTLDR not found. I then used the mandrake disk recovery mode to restore windows boot. Same error on reboot. I then used the FIXBOOT command from XP and still no luck.
